Design Criteria

There's are all kinds of DIY configuration options, but key for this layout was the ability for me to fully stand upright and to enjoy a generous 65"X75" memory foam mattress bed.  The extra high/long Transit 250 fit that bill for my 6'3" frame.  Lastly, I did not try to fit 10lbs of stuff into a 5lb bucket.  It's a simple, open layout

Another requirement is that this unit function fully off-grid. These elements include 2x200W roof mounted solar panels and a DC to DC engine charger keeping the 2x100ah deep-cycle lithium batteries charged to peak performance.  This system is more than sufficient to power all cabin and reading lights, water pump, a generously sized Isotherm refrigerator, and with a 3000W inverter for AC power.  I decided to go with Renogy products for this system

The kitchenette includes generous maple wood counter top, sink, and maple backsplash.  On-board water is provided by a 21 gal water storage tank with a separate tank for grey water capture and or relay to discrete under the vehicle drainage.  It's currently configured for cold water only, however it would be a fairly simple task to add a hot water heater should you decide to 

This van in fully insulated in the walls, ceiling, and raised floor using quality Thinsulate products.  2x roof mounted MaxxAir fans provide for more than sufficient airflow.  Either of these standard 14" inlets could be converted to an air conditioning unit should you chose to in the future.  Quality Broad-Arrow curved awning style windows with privacy-shade are located on both sides of the bed
